Fortunately for investors, profit margins in this category of film making is much higher than movies made for adults, and children’s content is about as secure a speculation as an financier can make. For instance, comparable films with a similar dramatic, yet educational back drop to the story line, like “Secret of NIHM” (1982) had a budget of $7 million and profit of $14.7 million, but over time has accrued upwards of $39M in profit. The 1973 animated movie of “Charlotte’s Web” had a budget of $1.7M and grossed $2.4M, while the 2006 Live-Action remake had a budget of $85M and a profit of $144M, and on a lesser scale, the original animated movie “Watership Down” (1979) had a budget of $2.4M and a return on investment of $3.5M, and was remade as a very successful limited series for NETFLIX in 2018, which shows how how long a lifespan films of this nature have and the impact on future generations. We believe that “Money Talks” is as much of a classic story as the few above
mentioned projects, with a margin of profit that will please any potential investor.
With a total cost of $500,000.00 USD, and an in-house team of incredible artists, the opportunity to not only make a great film, but also an incredible profit is as good as it gets. There are many other animated feature films that we could compare, but just the above few should be enough to understand that even on the low end, profitability is fairly certain. In order to raise this $500K, we are offering shares of ownership with a minimum investment of $25,000.00 USD per unit, not exceeding 20 total investors, all holding a total of 50% ownership of the film’s profits into perpetuity. Including 50% ownership, investors will also receive their full investment back, plus 30% before residual income is split between the investor pool and production team. This would be a total or $650,000.00 USD. Generally speaking, investors only get 100% plus 20% return once the film starts making money after distribution costs, so we are 10% above industry standards. We would also include 15% of future Merchandising Revenue from sales of branded content, including toys, clothing, video games, collectible tokens, and potentially even an online digital currency like BitCoin, marketed to consumers for educational purposes as well as possible future profitability should the “coin” perform well. Normally merchandising revenue is withheld from investors on the front end, but we believe that exchanging in abundance is the way to make good deals with great people. Should one investor have
the full $500K, this would simplify accounting a lot and afford for a greater profit margin in the long run. Should an investor wish to finance the merchandise as well as the movie, further interest in the profits for said merchandise would be fairly negotiated between parties.
